HNCC BASIC RULES
The
HNCC has been founded in order to play the games from the HPS Campaign Series.
All members start with the lowest rank.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cabinet runs the club and has the task to ensure a troublefree course of the games and “club life”.
The cabinet supervises the forum and the course of the games.
Furthermore the cabinet will clarify controversial game situations and other disputes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Club Board (Forum)
The forum is thought to be a meeting place of equal-minded people.
Personal insults of any kind have to be refrained from.
Personal disputes must be discussed and settled via email and not in the forum.
Ignoring or violating these rules may result in being excluded from the club.
Non-members ignoring or violating these rules are unwelcome with their posts being deleted.

Activity
A member of the HNCC is expected to have at least one game in progress.
When one player has to wait four weeks for the turn of his opponent, the waiting player will be given the points for a victory.
EXCEPTION: An official note giving the reason for absence (vacation or disease for instance).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Double membership
Membership in several clubs is permitted.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Missing in Action
When having had no contact to an officer for four weeks, this officer will be regarded as MIA.
After eight weeks without any contact, the officer will be deleted from the statistic.
Returning after this deadline, the officer will loose his score and all of his decorations,
except the officer has sent an official note announcing his absence.
In this case, a date for resuming the service shall be arranged. When missing this date,
the officer will be deleted from the statistic.

HNCC game evaluation
For
the evaluation of finished games, the fololowing is needed:
The casualties of the two opposing armies (inf, art, cav and officers)
Strenght of the armies at the end of the game (this information can be found in the strength dialog box
The number of rounds played (in case the scenario was not played to the end, the total number of rounds is needed, too)
The points for each player will be calculated as follows:
Number of rounds played (A) + Points for enemy’s casualties (B) + C + result (D)
Explanation:
A: For each played round, the players receive one point.
This is thought to encourage players to play scenarios to their end.
B: The number of inf casualties are divided by 1000, cav casualties by 500,
art casualties by 10 and officer casualties (number, NOT points) by 10.
C: This value is called “strenght factor”. It is the product of:
The enemies starting strenght divided by the own starting strenght
The factor 0,75 (in order not to let the members’ score grow too fast)
The player’s remaining troops divided by 1000
D: Major victory: 100 points for the winner, 0 points for the looser
Minor victory: 75 points for the winner, 25 points for the looser
Draw: each player receiver 50 points
Example
A scenario ends as a draw after 100 rounds
Player A’s casualties:
Infantry: 30000 : 1000 = 30 points
Cavalry: 5000 : 500 = 10 points
Artillery: 20 guns : 10 = 2 points
Officers: 10 off. : 10 = 1 point
Remaining troops:
80000 men (=> original strength: 115500 men)
Player B’s casualties:
Infantry: 40000 : 1000 = 40 points
Cavalry: 6000 : 500 = 12 points
Artillery: 40 guns : 10 = 4 points
Officers: 5 off. : 10 = 0,5 points
Remaining troops:
100000 men (=> original strength: 147000 men)
Player A’s strenght factor:
147000 : 115500 = 1,27; 80 x 0,75 x 1,27 = 76,2
Player B’s strenght factor
115500 : 147000 = 0,79; 100 x 0,75 x 0,79 = 59,3
Final score player A:
100(rounds)+56,5(enemy’s damage)+76,2(strength factor)+50(draw)= 282,7 points
Final score player B:
100(rounds)+43(enemy’s damage)+59,3(strength factor)+50(draw)= 252,3 points
